    Since most things are kept secret, I assume the worst, meaning that the US gains full unlimited read access to databases and can pull data as they like, including from those people who do not even want to visit the US. Therefore everyone is affected.

    Unnecesary, you need a visa/permit to travel to the UK too. I don’t see the issue in filling a shitty form and providing ID pictures when the alternative is compromising the whole privacy of a country giving them unrestricted access to biometric data and more.

    If the price of visa free travel is giving a foreign government access to Europeans’ biometric data, then it’s a bad deal: The EU lectures the world about privacy and digital sovereignty, yet too often folds when Washington asks for another exception!

      Some people (those stupid enough to visit the US) getting at least something (visa-free access) out of it is actually an incredible good deal.

      The expected EU move would be to just give away all our data without getting anything over some ridiculous pretense because our corrupt politicians got some small favors from a lobbyist.

    No, you have to understand, if you’re a company and, for reasons, you need to send 500 people to the US every month, it’s so tedious to apply for visa. Think of the economy u guise. /s
