I prefer the Canadian Hockey Riot version.

Television@piefed.social•“Malcolm in the Middle” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” have each generated $100 million in streaming revenue since 2020English
4·10 days agoI’m guessing this is the amount of money the streaming services have payed to the shows to have them. As to the pay structure, that would be interesting to know.

4·10 days agoI enjoyed The Long Walk for the same reason. Very faithful adaptation of my favourite Bachman book, although I am hoping for a director’s cut. I didn’t see any trailers before watching so I was very surprised and pleased to see who the actor for The Major was. The interactions between all the kids is just great.
So you enjoyed the remake of The Running Man over the Schwarzenegger version? Or was it just a different beast?

9·11 days agoWell, “Nimrod” was a mighty hunter. Maybe the meaning of Moron has changed over time. Does seem like believing this angel was real is something a Moroni would believe though.
I’ll add to your dose fediverse fun instead of reddit comment regret.
Oof, why did you point that out?
Sorry, wasn’t being sarcastic. I was trying to remember some of my favourite comic strips when I was at the library recently. I knew I was missing a few but couldn’t recall them and I haven’t picked up a newspaper for the comics in years. Pearls Before Swine is one of the strips I was trying to remember, and I haven’t had it cross my path in a while.
Oh yeah, totally agree about Deanna’s early outfit.
One of my favourites. Haven’t seen it on the Fediverse at all.
But there was a guy in a skirt just as short as those worn in the original series. Right there in the opening scene of the first episode.

6·16 days agoI hate how Ross’ wife turning out to be a lesbian was somehow a failure on his part. But that said it was pretty important for representation at the time. Lots of people wouldn’t watch the show at first because it had gay people.
Thank you, that did save me a search.
Against all odds, the dart landed on The Vatican.

Hey here’s a new joke! How many executioners does it take to change a lightbulb? At least two, so the second one has something to keep their feet out of the water.
Changing a lightbulb while standing in a pool of water sounds like a pretty stupid way to die.
