1·1 year agoI put that Chrome extension that changes every reference to ‘Trump’ in articles and headlines to ‘someone with tiny hands’ on my Trump supporting bosses computer. Annoyed the hell out of him for weeks then I deleted it. He never figured it out.
Remember to use strong passwords people. It’s 2025 bro, who uses their fucking dogs name as a password?

Cooking @lemmy.world•There's a convenience food that is not available at most grocery stores. One that I would pay extra for. Day old refrigerated rice. I would make fried rice more often.English
1·1 year agoThat’s an option though you do risk Bacillus Cereus, and an extended unpleasant potty break.

1·1 year agoJust cook extra and freeze it if you have the space. Freezing actually makes it better, besides the normal starch retrogradation there is also water sublimation. Win/win

Cooking @lemmy.world•Sichuan Pepper, what's your experience?English
1·1 year agoCilantro is delicious, one of my favorite flavors. Caraway seed is horrible stuff, I can’t even say why, it’s just bad. Brussel sprouts taste like metal, as does canned pineapple, fresh pineapple less so especially if it is grilled.
I wish I got that sensation from Sichuan Pepper that everyone else seems to get. I still love it for its (to me) citrusy flavor.

1·1 year agoSupposedly fresh, with a recent date, from different suppliers. I always buy whole and grind as needed.
I have been using them for years so this wasn’t a one time occurrence. Eating them in restaurant dishes is the same. They just don’t seem to do to me what they do to others.

1·1 year agoI have bought them supposedly fresh in bulk in markets, and commercially vacuum packed less than a month previously and I do not notice a difference. However, friends coming over for dinner do, with the same peppercorns.
I think I am just not sensitive to it, and I was wondering if there was any prevalence to that.

Reddit made that change where if you blocked someone they couldn’t reply to you in a thread.
That was quickly weaponized so that you could ‘win’ an argument. Someone could write something and your reply would not appear, so it looked like you realized you were wrong.
