I think samsung or android does this. I noticed that my tablet at night will randomly be paused on a black screen and when I wake it it’ll be paused on a video around 5 or 10 minutes after I fell asleep, it’s creepy but I guess it helps me not miss my youtube videos

I would actually prefer that 90% of the time. I hate having to watch TV with someone else, I either miss what’s on it or feel awkward when I have to rewind, then people have this warped perception that I care what they are trying to tell me as if it’s not obvious I’m watching something on the TV so my focus is elsewhere.

My usage of a TV in the common room is when I’m feeling social or want to have whitenoise, any serious watching is strictly in my den or bedroom

I do not have a “TV” in my bedroom but I do have a tablet that I use for videos at night I like falling asleep listening to YouTube or twitch

Was working on my gramps account yesterday… the website auto logs you out when you click a link then they have a limited amount of times you can do email 2fa in a 24h period so after 4 or 5 logout you are locked out of your account for 24h

from what people told me who’s had this happen, even with a lost account recovery key it is possible to recover the account, it’s just apple doesn’t advertise it.

Basically it’s the same account recovery process but they nuke the accounts cloud(which is likely a deal breaker) prior to handing the account over. The issue is you can’t start that from a self service portal, it has to be originated from apple support and getting them to actually do it can be a pain because they don’t like to for obvious reasons.

also i believe Not having a method of account recovery that allows you to retain goods that was exchanged for monetary value would be concidered fraud so I would expect they are forced to have some way of retaining purchases as long as you can clearly identify yourself as the buyer

It’s a family run company so super unlikely that they would replace the trainer due to relation to the owners. Probally what is encouraging that lack of effort.

I saw that in the wild a week or two back. Friend was learning a new job, all her trainer was able to say was “just ask AI” and send her to copilot.

I felt so bad for her.

PSA on anyone who used this. Terminate your session via active sessions on another telegram app after you “log out”

This app ALSO doesn’t properly invalidate your session token like most apps do, so even though it “logs out” on the UI, the auth token to the telegram stays active.

While there hasen’t been any evidence that it transmits auth tokens, since it was confirmed AND admitted that they logged phone numbers, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I don’t think their intent is to have you go buy a PS5, I think their bigger intent is preventing it on Xbox hardware.

I think Xbox’s claims that all PC games will be available on the new system is a big reason for them to not allow it on PC, they have been a firm “We don’t want this on Xbox”, and they can’t uphold that with Project Helix’s claims that it runs PC games.

There’s a special category reserved for the devs that design their apps to invalidate passwords, but not give a message saying the password is invalidated and needs to be changed.

In my experiences that is usually the cause. Them invalidating the password sending an email (or sometimes not). cue me trying the old password, failing, changing the password, and getting that message. /tableflip

I read this as they learned it was far too difficult to moderate /all and that the easier thing corporate wise was just remove it.
