What does that mean?

I love stuff like like this. It’s almost up there with MAGA hats. Being able to look at someone and instantly know we’re not going to get along is pretty useful.
I know this is the correct answer; but in my mind circus, it’s a business in a hyperinflationary world. People are banging on the doors begging to hand over stacks of cash, but the business won’t let them in. The value of their assets is increasing more quickly than real wages by an order of magnitude. So they just say, “No customer” and watch number go up anyway.

1·4 days agoYeah, best case scenario is that the gentlest slaver gets moved up a level from the very bottom of hell.
Slavery is inherently violent, because catching escaped slaves is a violent process, directly sponsored by slavers. It really doesn’t matter how respectfully they speak, or what amenities they provide. If every plantation had been set up as a spa, it would have still been a violent system for the simple fact that slaves who left would be subjected to violence. That’s it. That’s all there is to it. Every person who ever owned a slave committed a violent act every day for every slave held. It’s just not possible to treat a slave “good.”
I’m preaching to the choir here. The sheer ignorance of euphemizing slavery boggles the mind.

Oh, that’s a good one!
