  • I don’t know what your point is.

But my take away is Stephen Semler doesn’t know how to label an X axis clearly.

The obvious choice is every four years for presidential administrations, with a midpoint for Senate changes.

With labels not just for year, but presidents name and Congress majorities.

If people are going to use apss/sites to generate graphs at least put two fucking seconds of thought it

    Like that Y axis?!

The only reason Im not positive Semler is a troll, is he didnt put a $, but the “B” alone is bad.

Maybe whoever made that app/site just didn’t know what they were doing

  • He doesn’t care about companies, he bankrupts them constantly…

losses in the three months through June came as the company branched into new ventures including crypto.

Neither him nor his family is holding any of that.

They bought a bunch for nothing. Then had the company buy a shit ton.

Then after the rubes stopped buying, they sold their personal stashes, and let the company take the hit on crypto loss, to cover other gains. that way they could “insider trade” the crypto dump tip out in waves to different people.

At the end of it, this loss covers gains elsewhere.

  • No one expects you to be an expert on every other countries political system…

But come on bro, you think America is a democracy and the people get what they vote for?

Like, even “voted for” as in popular vote doesn’t matter.

States like Cali that always go D and send all their electorate college votes, don’t get the turnout they would if votes actually counted.

What you did is like telling an abused spouse:

    Shouldn’t have married him stupid

Ignoring the wife was 16 and pregnant at the wedding and the baby’s not born yet.

Just completely ignorant and hateful, more like trump than you’ll ever know, including the false feeling of superiority

    Edit:

    I take it back…

All your account does is talk about America, with that level of interest, it is a reasonable expectation that by now you e learned the basics of the political system you care so much about

  • I shouldn’t have said “most”…

But all of the numbers involved are a lot higher than reported, so it is hard to tell.

However, that was a bit of a tangent.

The broader picture is that family on both sides have normalized treating teenagers as adults.

I’m not sure what the ages are for the Tyler and his baby momma, but I believe he was like highschool senior and the girl was a freshman. Dating alone that’s a weird age gap, he knocked her up during the school year, a pregnancy takes 9 months…

I’m not saying so much an abused kid becomes an abuser.

I’m saying that pedophiles raise pedophiles. Because in that household the line between adult and child aren’t what’s normal or legal. They might have been fine with their son and that girl having sex in their house whenever, because to his parents, 14 and 17 is “grown” and ready to start their own family if they want.

They truly believe it’s ok and they’re old enough.

And that leads to even more teenage pregnancies and great-grandmas in their 50s

  • Obama fucked a lot of shit up…

But one thing he was willing to do, was tell Israel no.

It pissed Biden off so much, he publicly denounced Obama over it, because even till the day he left office from his first day as a Senator, Joe Biden always said: “The only way to negotiate with Israel, is give them everything they want”

That was his legitimate belief, so when Obama didn’t say “yes”, Biden shit talked him.

Even after he became president, Biden insisted you have to always say “yes” no matter what Israel asks:

Biden recounted in private that when he was vice president in 2014 and Israel mounted a military assault on Gaza, Obama and his staff rejected his belief, held for decades, that the best way to approach the Israelis is to hug them close but not criticize them, the people familiar with his comments said.

Instead, they said Biden has noted, Obama publicly admonished Israel’s actions and voiced concern for Palestinian civilian deaths early into the 2014 conflict. As a result, Biden has argued, Obama squandered any ability to influence the Israeli government as it invaded Gaza, said the people familiar with his comments.

The president’s private comparisons with his former boss subsided as outrage over rising civilian deaths in Gaza eclipsed the early praise for his approach, according to three of the people familiar with his comments. More than 14,000 Palestinians have been killed so far, according to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Department.

It’s a very low bar, so while I am might have been the “best” in modern history, doesn’t mean he was perfect or even better than El-Sayed or other new names.

  • Yeah, but this is one of the few scenarios I prefer Britta’s version…

    https://venturebrothers.fandom.com/wiki/Congresswoman_Marsha_Backwood

    Edit:

She was racist in the cartoon too, but I couldnt find a clip:

During election season in the episode Venture Libre, Marsha Backwood came to the Venture Compound with her assistant in tow. Dr. Venture and company had been called away to Puerto Bahia by General Manhowers to deal with the Venturestein problem, leaving only Dean Venture behind to get the door. As he was preparing to restore H.E.L.P.e.R. to his old body, Dean was irate and dressed in clothing reflecting a repairmen or gardener when he answered the door. Marsha introduced herself, resulting in a noncommittal “'Kay” (as in, “okay”) from Dean. Backwood mistook this answer for the Spanish word qué, meaning “what”, to which she responded by speaking louder and reintroduced herself in basic Spanish. After Dean told her in english that his father had been called by General Manhowers but otherwise brushed her off, Backwood demanded her assistant get Manhowers on the phone–and check if Dean was an illegal immigrant.

The summary doesn’t do it justice, but it’s one of the best bits in Venture, especially when she shows up at the end and gets blown up.

  • Gee…

It’s almost like while vertical integration can maximize a corporations profits, it means a single problem fucks up the entire nations food supply…

And that we need government regulations to ensure we have options, which also ensure there’s competition between suppliers, resulting fair prices.

If a single corporation supplies the majority of produce, they can charge whatever the fuck they want.n it’s effectively a monopoly because one when supplier goes down, the few others can’t fill the gap.

This a problem that either needs fixed, or will keep having worse and worse consequences.

  • Sounds like this guy knows way more than me…

“It is too much,” Solovewicz says, emphasizing that people shouldn’t assume a domain is unmonitored. “I’m at the point where this would now be a full-time job to handle every single one of these—that’s part of my motivation to talk about this, it is my responsible disclosure. You guys need to fix your systems and not do this and not leak your customer data and your employee data and your own internal data.”

But couldn’t he just set up an “out of office” so that every single time he gets an email, a response is sent saying:

Hey bro, this is a real email address, you just sent me stuff you probably shouldn’t. No big deal, but you’re going to keep getting this automated emails. Please fix your security.

If you get stuck in a loop of automated messages (likely) that’s going to flow a massive flag up at the company, and someone is going to look at it why it’s happening.

It’s impossible for a human to handle it, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be handled.
