  • I also can’t find even an English copy of DCC to save my life, but downloading one of them actually yielded the English book. The book file in question seems to be from libgen.li, based on the file name, but not sure where the actual Also most / all of the copy and the layout etc smells of a vibe coded project, so best case is that they do want to host mirrored books from libgen, and worst case is they’re just a front to hopefully get some crypto donations that would have instead gone to another shadow library.

As for missing pages / other content, I think it’s actually much easier to just host mirrored (complete) books than to have modified data, so that’s not a worry I would have personally.

  • The whole point of AA is that it’s not centralized, or “left in their hands.” The software is open source and all the data and metadata is hosted via torrents, so anyone with enough space can just spin up a mirror with everything intact.

As for the book you mentioned, I was able to download it via a slow mirror in around 6 minutes (4mb file), no issues at all. As I did not actually read the book, though, I have no idea whether anything is wrong with the contents, but a quick scroll through gives no issues.

I haven’t tested Bookcracy at all, but a quick glance doesn’t look like it’s open source or really tell me where the books are from (might be from the AA torrents!), so I will just stick to AA, personally. Especially since they are also not listed on any of the shadow library tracking pages (like SLUM).

I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with AA, but I was just adding the counterpoint that I have had no such issues overall, and anyone who has the same experience may upvote my comment as they wish.
