I just started with an irregular shape and everything was as random as I could make it. I like searching for odd shapes to play with. I have many like this. They are honestly hard to name but I manage. The hard part is trying to fill the whole area. Once I am in a groove or a flow state, this comes naturally. All inspired by PeterDraws on YouTube. My style is slightly different than his though, so I don’t just copy it.
That’s interesting about PeterDraws, looking at his other work that makes sense, but you’ve definitely got your own take on convoluted and interconnected forms. I was trying to figure out where I’ve seen the like and I would have guessed Moebius based on the linework - or Michael Kirkbride looking at those organic and slightly surreal forms. Thanks for sharing!
How did you start? Did it kind of spring into your mind fully formed, or did you block in the larger shapes and fill in later?
