they didnt delve it into the 90s aesthetic they also didn’t delve lore wise most character development on other characters was either put on jax or the time for it was spent on things that are unnecessary for the whole story (gummigoo) there was also not much time for spending on what characters they did developed which i understand they are an indie studio but with the amount of views and money glitch got in merch them and Goose should’ve invested this money into expanding beyond 9 episodes
Hmm, yeah, you and I see very very different things in the show.
For me, Gummygoo was one of the pylons, that made the show what it is.
Even just functionally for the plot, his death(murder) fucked Pomni up, being one of the most important parts (and triggers) of her character growth, leading to everything else that Pomni made happen in the show. (It also gave characterization for Cain, but that’s just characterization, not plot, so yeah)
But I guess each person sees and cares about different parts of an art work.
I agree with you, I thought Gummygo was critical to the development of Pomni and the overall plot. It showed how flawed Cain was, how fuzzy the line between “human” and “AI” was, as well as generally just setting the mood.
Edit: I also didn’t see him being deleted by Cain as a joke. It really helps show how serious the stakes are for everyone.

Is part of your take,
Can you explain your thoughts on this?
because they introduced a character with a whole plot for the episode only for him to die instantly as shock humor it’s very cheap in my opinion
