These oligarchic, “regulations are onerous” dipshits are too stupid and short-sighted to realize that dead people don’t buy food.

They don’t want so many people to exist. And you don’t need consumers when you intend to be a feudal lord.

Dead people don’t but they can gouge the price they sell at to those still alive who have no choice but to buy it –because the oligarchy owns the means of production– in order to make up the difference.

      Isn’t capitalism just grand?

To be fair, that also happens when you elect Centrist Dems.

MUCH slower, sure, but overall the Dem leadership cares much more about their rich owner donors than regular people and their policy and campaign choices reflect that.

Hence the complaining about Canada being to blame for shit air quality.

It’s definitely not his “beautiful clean coal”, go Coalie! ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coalie )

Trump ensuring that the damage he does will outlive himself by generations.

This took me down a rabbit hole regarding air purifiers and mercury vapor. It turns out that conventional air purifiers won’t don’t do anything - you need activated carbon, potassium permanganate, or sulfur-impregnated carbon to properly capture the vapor.

Looks like these models might do the trick. They run at about $1k a pop.

Also, TIL what mercury vapor does to humans:

Mercury vapor released from coal emissions enters the air and can have serious health effects when inhaled.

Acute (short-term) exposure at high levels can damage the lungs, mouth, and respiratory tract, and may lead to respiratory failure and death

Chronic (long-term) exposure, even at lower levels, is linked to:

Neurological effects such as tremors, insomnia, memory loss, headaches, cognitive and motor dysfunction, and neuromuscular effects

Cardiovascular harm, including an increased risk of heart attacks

Damage to the kidneys, liver, and immune system

Exposure during pregnancy can result in developmental issues for the fetus, including mental retardation and seizures
