Stupid question but why would you put a data center in one of the hottest place on earth? Are they stupid?
The logic of finance does not really follow the logic of physics. Also abu dhabi is kind of the perfect place for it, it’s a totalitarian dictatorship with barely any national polulation, its 90% expats, who is going to complain about a data center hoarding all the resources of that place.
It’s cause UAE did a big chunk of the funding and wanted it to be built there in order to market themselves as a tech hub.

I’m guessing they’re gonna do it if the US attacks their infrastructure further. They’re using the threat as leverage.

Seeing how unhinged Trump is and that he’s continued to escalate, I do think it’s more likely than not Iran will blow it up eventually.

Honestly… why the fuck am I sitting here in the US rooting for Iran.
Oh yeah… because “Trump”.
But when you dig into the history of the US in the 20th and 21st centuries, you start to notice this isn’t just a “Trump” thing. Outside of WW1 and WW2 (though the US had spurious reasons for joining WW1), the US has been the bad guys in every other instance.
The US is the imperialist hegemon, Trump has just been more open about it.
Trump has also been more corrupt and stupid about it. He’s not being honest about it, he’s being flagrant about being a tool of the giant corporations.
Also more open about just drifting the fuck out of his followers. He sold them a $2 bill for $100. He also pump and dumped not one … but TWO crypto coins.
In WW1 pretty much everyone was bad guys.
I don’t disagree, I just happen to find the theory that the US really only entered the war not because of high ideals but because if France and the UK lost, then the US would be left holding the bag as they defaulted on their loans, to be very plausible.
I would be in favor of destroying these data centers regardless of the president.
If they bomb enough datacenters we might get consistemt weather again.
