The concept of Germany, Spain, or France is pretty new. It was a collection of small kingdoms. And before that even smaller clans. And before that etc etc. And now we start to think of them more and more as an even bigger unit: the EU.
We’re social creatures, and every meaningful improvement has happened because we work together and care for each other.
There’s always elements taking advantage of this, so it’s important not to forget that we have to fight for what we find important.

It’s not just hunter gatherers. It’s all throughout human history up to the age of colonialism where our modern day empires eradicated or subjugated other civilizations and cultures.
