    Panel 3 and 4 aren’t quite right.

The guy in Panel 3 didn’t just remix it, he cherry picked the parts that would be most likely to rank for either a short or long tail keyword strategy depending on the size and business of his client or employer.

And that guy doesn’t have his paper taken away in Panel 4. He’s feeding as many papers as he can to the AI which are tailored for “Answer Engine Optimization” or “Generative Engine Optimization” (they haven’t settled on a catchy name yet for what is largely the same thing, even if some claim they’re different).

The techniques have changed slightly but SEO has been a filthy game for much longer than AI. Google made sure of that with their auction house, “featured snippet” sections and backlink authority ranking systems.

I’m pretty sure the people complaining loudest about AI slop are the ones who have been producing human slop for years.

If you aren’t producing human slop on the daily, you are either a robot or should see a doctor immediately.

Nah, the producers of human slop are ecstatic because now they can just prompt up their slop and post something for engagement, before they had to at least put in a modicum of effort to make their slop. It would take at least as long to make the human slop as a human would take to view it, now they can get output with even less than the effort the human wastes seeing it.

The slop flood gates are open.

Time was you’d need to stand in front of a green screen and point your actual human finger in the air, then overlay that video in OBS over whatever content you wanted to steal.

Slop-jockeys these days dont know how easy they have it.

I highly doubt they are. SEO has always been a race to the bottom and I’ve never seen anyone claim it has any kind “human” value to it.

I have never, ever, complained about human slop. Zero times. But AI slop? Fuck that worthless bullshit. Fuck Google for monopolizing search and destroying everything with SEO.

Perhaps you should have complained about human slop. Allowing such massive rubbish into the ecosystem has laid the groundwork for automation.
