Most public transit that I’ve ever been on has ads in the stations and the vehicles. Does Germany manage to avoid that?

We are paying three dollars more per gallon here in Germany because of the stupid war your country started in Iran, while you are largely unaffected yourself because of your own oil production

America just cares about it’s own interests, and every time I see a country work with them, I’m just waiting for the betrayal to come.

The world is still stupid though and believes that Trump is an idiot, despite him accomplishing his every goal. This place is funny because there are a lot of people here unable to think strategically. They think conflicts between countries are accidents and nobody stands to gain anything. :)

Largely unaffected? Our prices have soared since the war in Iran. Our prices were substantially lower before Iran because of our local oil production but it’s very clear to most Americans that our fossil fuel consumption is largely supplemented but foreign oil. And we are seeing the result at the pump. Sorry you’re paying even more but you were paying more than us before too.

What I’m fucking saying, you shit brain, is that we are also impacted and saying otherwise is disinformation meant entirely to shit on the USA. We hate ourselves enough without you.

Yes I can cus at random people on the internet to escalate unnecessarily just like you! Flavor words to sprinkle across any sentence.

There was once a campaign going that had billboards like: no more cigarette ads? Next they ban ads for (some sausage) and i just thought: yeah, ban them too, and any other ad.

I assume these people exist, but who the fuck sees that and goes: NOT MY SAUSAGES!! Or: NOT MY ADS!

Are you saying ads for tobacco and alcohol are prohibited on gas pumps? Because ads for alcohol are all over every advertising medium in existence.

        Depends on where you are.

Where I am, alcohol, tobacco and gambling were all prohibited in advertisement, then gambling had a pass (because those making the laws are most likely in the pockets of gambling execs), but it looks like it will get prohibited again.

Correct. Loud, half blown speakers, usually three adds in a cycle. If we just avoid stations that have them.

Fun fact, pass it on, etc! The 2nd button from the top on the right usually mutes the ads. It only hasn’t worked for me once.

  • I’ve started blasting death metal as load as possible when this happens. If my ears are going to be assaulted I’ll just double down with the noise i want to hear. Luckily the pump i go to has never done this so i try and go there everytime.

      It’s during.

I have legit punched the screens, and pressed all the buttons so hard in, I’m suprised nothing broke.

When it’s obvious from the start you can just drive to a different station (for now), but when it sneaks up on me is when I get angry.

No because then you might realize what’s about to happen and go somewhere else. They wait until you start dispensing so you’re a captive audience, then they blast ads.

Dollar Tree is more expensive per oz than MicroCenter, but having a little can of air around is pretty damn handy, and not a huge investment…

And the only chance I get to go to Microcenter is when I go to work, since it’s near my office, but I’ve been WFH since covid and it’s like an hour and a half from here.

No, that’s where you put the fake mustache.

…but really though, just do what cops do and tuck a dried leaf in the plate holder to partially obscure it with plausible deniability.

and hope that someone else in the state has the exact same car model/color with plates that match the part of the plate that your leaf didn’t obscure.

Police can get away with it because almost all police cars are identical.

that’s what I do to get past the Flockness where they can see the scratches, stickers and mud on your car to identify you.
hope you have your car’s bluetooth and telemetry turned off.

Or walk, if that’s an option.

Wish I could get a tank in full of fuel in my wagon for anywhere near 100 dollars. It’s more like 140 euros and not a very big tank. I think that’s about 160 dollarbucks American.
