Can you show us a cool photo you took recently? We wanna see what you found cool enough to take a photo of. We usually take photos of things we’re interested in or are unique enough to put into a reference folder we have for art and well we’re wondering if anyone had any good photos to share! :3
Thank you!
Also the photo on this post we put up is a train we saw in the Train museum here in Spain! We had so much fun and think this would have to be the one of the more impressive ones (tho not our favorite haha)
Edit: Hoi peeps!! We love all these photos and this post got WAY more popular than expected haha! We’re wanting to reply to everyone, but it’s gonna take some time - so we’re not ignoring you and if we accidentally miss you aaaaa we’re sorry (there’s just so much @w@)! Thank you again everyone, this has been lovely seeing all these cool af pics!! :D
The recent lunar eclipse, taken in Brisbane, Australia!

Very nice. Hello from the Gold Coast.
That’s no moon.
Had to try the capabilities of a zoom lens :)

Edit: Haha, even the moon is upside down when seen from Australia… I mean of course, I just never thought of that
I mean they are literally upside down it’s just upside down is upside down too making it right side up again.
EDIT:
Take that flat earthers.
wait, REALLY?! Never thought about that

My shitty brain is trying to figure out what it would like like at the equator. Would it be flipped 90 degrees? If so, cw or ccw?
It would depend on if you were looking at it from the rising side or the setting side. It would be turned 90° and then would flip 180° as it went overhead from your perspective.

Aletsch glacier, Switzerland
That’s just… woah :O

I went skiing this weekend :)

Took this photo just at the moment the bananaquit decided to fly off, which gave a neat view of its feathers
🍌🚫

In my garden…
The flower looks so perfectly shaped huuuhhhh x>
It did! It opened that same day
Awe! That’s so sick!! We’re always too early or too late to see flowers bloom
I went to an art museum at the University of KY and saw this really cool piece. The artist finds old photographsof scenic places and then tries to find the exact location they were taken from. You can see that the rocks and everything still line up exactly with the newer photo.holy shit thats such a cool idea, reminds us that we gotta go to another art museum sooner than later.
Probably not all that unique, but it’s pretty cool to me because I managed to get this handheld with manual focus.

“Not unique” casually throws in one of the cutest/coolest unique shots we’ve seen 🐝
Thank you for the kind words. If you enjoyed looking at this photo - my goal is achieved.
Achieved and even blew it out of the park! Hope the next time we ask for photos we’ll see more x)
Will do! In the meantime, if anyone’s interested, I also post quite frequently on Pixelfed.

The bike, an old Chiang Jiang CJ750, belonging to a good friend of mine needed some work. It was down on power, hard to start and had some electrical gremlins. I made a new wiringharness as the old wires were pinched and grounding out all sorts of places and gave it a new starter relay, the old one were only rated for 6 volts and would stick on from time to time. The carbs got cleaned and the valves adjusted. Now it runs like a champ and starts better than most new cars.
What a great feeling resurrecting a machine! Great work
This engine looks surprisingly similar to my old BMW R80
Fun fact, the Chiang Jiang is a copy of the Russian Ural/IMZ motorcycle which again is a copy of the pre-ww2 BMW R71. They then developed their own OHV head (that is almost identical to BMWs OHV head) when the flathead became too underpowered and fuel inefficient.

My sweet bunny girl, Nara, sleeping.
Awwwe bby! Also showed our bunny loving bf and they said “Lemmy she/them bnuuys” lol

Ask and you shall recieve! Taken this morning! Rumi (pronounced Rummy) on top and Nara on Bottom
Awweee!! They’re both so beautiful!!! 🥺💕💕💕💕 Also Nara got that anime girl vibe hehe
Thank you so much!! She really does. I don’t know how I got so spoiled with with. I make sure she knows how incredible she is and give her lots of leafy greens every day.

us testing out a fender we designed for our go-kart a couple weeks ago
the fender on the left wheel is the third iteration. the second iteration was on the right wheel but was ripped to shreds (this is why we test stuff).
we are also not super huge fans of CAD so this was our desk at the time :)

That kart looks so cool! and ya testing is important x) Also sick thigh highs 🏳️⚧️💕
tyy, the socks seem to be a favorite among the crowds. yesterday at protest, we also wore them and received no less than fourteen compliments about them. further ones are still VERY welcome though hehe :D
they are also so so super comfy. if you haven’t any knitted stuff, do get some!!
closer up photo from yesterday, having returned to our bike after the protest

The insides of my Nintendo DSi.
Also: why are these cool pictures not on c/pics ?! You all are making the coolest pictures but do not share any. I mean me neither but let’s change that :)
Yoo we got to take apart our 3DS soon to fix the left trigger, not super excited for that haha, and IKR!! So many cool ass pics here :O
Yoo, the picture was actually taken while I was fixing the left trigger of the DSi myself :D
Is that like a common problem?! Did you just have to realign / clean things or was there any replacements you had to do? (Haven’t looked into the repairs for it just yet aaa)
Yea, i think it’s rather common. You could fix it by simply blowing inside, past the buttons. I always thought it be the Y2K version of blowing in the cartridge.
To actual fix it I just cleaned everything that was in the vicinity of the shoulder button as well looking like it could make some sort of electrical connection using IPA. However even though it got rid of the problem for a lot longer than the blowing technique, it still is slowly failing on me again i feel like. :(
Fuck, home it’s not too hard to replace :(

Beautiful. Now I’m homesick

welcome to Hatville, where everyone wears a hat, the buildings have hats, the ducks have hats, the bikes have hats, even the hill got a hat!
Went outdoor rock climbing this past weekend and a group brought their bearded dragon (“Chubby”) up to the crag with them

OH MY GOSH!! Probably the best and most fitting name for such a cutie!! Glad you guys had a fun time rock climbing!!
