On one hand I’m glad they didn’t go with the overdone cutesy Disney style for the animals, but yeah Fox especially looks off in the kinda realistic style. He looks more like Fantastic Mr. Fox now.

Alright here’s what you’re gonna do. You’ll take that tack shooter and put it in the top right corner, and instead replace it with a boomerang monkey and switch its throwing arm. Set its target to the farthest bloon. It’ll keep shooting in the top right corner and take out the whole curve. You’ll want to upgrade it to ricochet in the future.
I played this game too much. Help.

Sooner than I expected, nice. I don’t feel too bad about missing it on theaters now.

Why did it take this long to start shooting if they already knew they were going to make a 2nd season ages ago?

The article is kinda confused, people don’t have a big issue with the accents, it’s more that the things they say sound modern. Tom Holland saying “My dad’s coming home” is weird, but shouting “LET’S GOOOOOO!!!” when leading an army completely took me out.

It’s not that unusual, it’s been over 25 years since it started. The current anime will closely follow the manga for the veteran fans, the new one is meant for people who want to get into it but don’t want to watch hundreds of episodes of filler in an old animation style.
Reminds me of that time Fullmetal Alchemist did a complete remake of the anime just 5 years after it ended.

I remember playing this game ~10(?) years ago, it’s really surprising that it’s still getting updated. One of the better survival games despite being free.
Copying from another thread:
I don’t know about this, the dialogue seems a bit silly and it’s really taking me out how many known actors are in it. I can’t help but see “Robert Pattinson talking to Tom Holland” instead of who they’re supposed to be.
I also agree with others that the movie LOOKS really off. It’s such a drab color scheme with sterile sets that it could straight up pass as a sci-fi movie. Like it’s trying to be Dune or something.

Undertale’s fandom makes 10x more sense when you realize it started off with the same people from the Homestuck fandom (Toby fox used to do Homestuck stuff before Undertale).
Deep Rock Galactic has a great fandom since everything about the game is about cooperating with others. Risk of Rain’s fandom is also pretty chill.
Every fandom that gets popular enough will eventually become kinda toxic and have gatekeepers and people who take the game way too seriously. I wouldn’t put too much stock into fanbases unless it’s a multiplayer only game.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Mother 3 (English patch)
Chrono Trigger
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
Colin Mcrae Rally 2
Final Fantasy VI (or Final Fantasy III in the US)
Apotris (this one is a Tetris homebrew that looks and runs great)
These all feel very modern for their time, and don’t come with the hassle of being overly vague or forcing you to grind.
From the director of Weapons
Alright, you’ve gotten my attention. I still don’t have very high hopes for this considering every horror game adaptation ends up being ass, but this does look interesting.
It doesn’t feel that connected to the games though. Does this take place in Raccoon City?

I bought and played the game a couple of hours. It has a ton of potential, but yeah, I ended up giving it a downvote on Steam. The AI slop isn’t as big of an issue as the rest honestly, the game has terrible performance even on lowest settings and connecting to servers often fails. There’s also a lack of good games which is a little expected since it’s relatively new but still disappointing, because there really isn’t that much you can play.
More recently there was a Masters of the Universe cartoon that started 2021. I heard it was meh but it was apparently successful enough to run for 3 seasons and wrap up the story. I think this thread underestimates how big of a franchise it still is.

Oof, that’s crazy. What were they thinking?

It takes some getting used to, you can play the easy difficulties until you wrap your head around the mechanics. Once I got past the difficulty curve though I found it very fun.

Against the storm sounds like a perfect fit. It’s in a fantasy setting though, so it’s quite different from Cities Skylines.
The idea is that you build a village, collect resources, and try to survive until you complete objectives. Once you’re done, you earn some permanent progression and move on to the next area to build. Each zone has its own challenges and randomly generated resources.

I kinda agree. It was a lot of blue balling, there’s only so many times they can tease answers or go “he’s going to reintegrate for real this time” without actually revealing anything…
Yup! You can switch the throwing arm in BTD6 to curve it the opposite way.
