Title. Obviously youtube is out. Google results have been unhelpful. I tried Pornhub, but no dice. I wanna learn how to shave my twig and berries nice and smooth, because I’m a considerate partner - but I’m tired of trial and error and nicking myself on the nuts.

Does your partner want this? Every partner I’ve ever had thought he was doing me a favor by becoming hairless in some way, shaving his chest or manscaping all the way down to the skin and I hate it! Keeping things tidy is one thing, shaving down to the skin is another. So unless your partner has expressed a desire for you to do this, ask them first! If you already know this is something they want from you, well good on you for trying to do it the best way possible

Don’t shave! You are much more likely to get an infection down there where it’s moist and there’s minimal air flow. Use a set of trimmers with a #1 guard.

Get some Nair. Just rub it on all the places with hair, avoid the tip. Wait 10 minutes, then rub the hair off with a wash cloth in the shower. Way smoother of a shave than I’ve ever gotten with a razor, and soooo much easier and more comfortable to do.

Just go slow and pay attention, if you’re really nervous trim first then use a chemical hair remover just try it on a spot first as some can be sensitive or allergic to it

If you’re going for smooth just use Veet (hair removal cream) instead. Make sure you get the SENSITIVE kind though.

If you’re really hairy trim first - leave about 1cm length.

Wash thorough and moisturise after. Smooth as a baby in 15 mins.

Electric shavers in general tend to leave the cut ends of hairs less sharp and thus more comfortable and less likely to ingrow. I used a razor once and will never use one again.

Huh I’ve thought about making one and putting it up on porn hub but figured someone already had.

I’ve been shaving for decades thought. I use a Harry’s razor (way cheaper than “premo” bs brands and works just as well) Don’t use shitty disposable razors.

Use a CREAM shaving cream like “Cremo” not the foam crap. In a pinch hair conditioner can work but it’s not good either.

If it’s your first time trim it as short as you can before shaving. But never use an electric trimmer near and loose skin.

Rinse the blades often build up means they aren’t working.

The more times you pass over the same patch of skin the more irritated it will get.

    Do not rush.

    It’s easiest in the shower.

The main way to cut youself will be pressing to hard on the blade. But the way that will always cut you is letting the blade slide sideways. To avoid this alway lift your blade off your skin once done with a stroke or if you have to stop a stroke.

Shave regularly. It’s easier to keep it up rather than redo it. I find every other day or every 3rd day works for me. If you put it off more than 5 days you’re in regrowth danger zone. It will get itchy and if you scratch it you will end up with a sort of rash from irritation. If that happens it’s probably the worst time to shave because your skin will be bumpy. If you do shave it will relieve the irritation but you need to be extra careful.

Also as much as you want to be smoooooth it ain’t going to happen. Petting with the grain will be smooth but full prickle removal is basically impossible. I can get mely nuts fairly smooth with much effort and practice but the pubic patch is a no go. Maybe it’s just me but the one time I did try to go against the grain in my pubic area it was smooth for a day and then irritated to hell and I ended up with bad ingrown hairs. Not worth it.

This part is main for males everything above applies to anyone I would assume.

Cold water = Shrinkage but can also make shaving easier for someone new. However because your sack is all scrunched up you’re much more likely to have a patchy shave.

Warm water = Loose skin. This can make shaving trickier but is easier to get all the areas.

Don’t be afraid to stretch that shit out like a paint canvas just make sure you have a firm grip before shaving a stroke.

Anyway hope this helps kinda just info dumped while laying in bed so might forgot something. feel free to ask questions.

A few tips. No scissors or electric shavers. Pull areas to be tight and flat. Go slow at first. Use a razor you’ve used a couple times so it’s not at it’s sharpest, it’ll still get the job done but be less likely to cause major cuts.

Also general advice, if your partner doesn’t fully appreciate the results or effort then stop trying. I’ve never gotten criticized about a “full bush” or specifically complemented on a “smooth finish” so I stopped trying. Not worth the hassle if your partner thinks you’re already sexy. More sit-ups or push ups might be more appreciated.

      Thanks!

As for my partner’s appreciation - I pretty frequently seek out new partners, so I like to make a good first impression. So even if a current partner doesn’t mind, I want to be able to be ready to make that good first impression whenever the opportunity presents itself.

And yeah, lol, I actually did a core + push up + OHP workout yesterday. Goal is press BW and dead 2x BW! Mirror check today showed some okay ab and oblique pop despite being more than 5lbs over my goal weight

No one can really answer this for you because everyone’s skin and hair growth pattern are different. You have to try stuff until you find something that works.

For me, the process is this:

    1. After showering I use a dermaplaner that takes half of a safety razor blade to scrape my pubic (not my scrotum) area against the grain. The blade edge is almost perpendicular to the surface of the skin. This exfoliates the skin, lifts up any hairs that might be starting to get ingrown, and most importantly makes my skin very dry.

    2. I then use a Panasonic arc 5 to shave everything. Doesn’t take very long if I do it once a day. I’m waiting for the Arc 3 to go on sale, because the head on the 5 is just too big for the area. My skin basically needs to be ashy for it to glide smoothly (wet shaving with it didn’t get a close shave)

    3. Back to the dermaplaner to first shave with the grain at a 45° angle to smooth things out, then against the grain with the blade perpendicular again to lift the end of the hairs a bit.

    4. Spray it with an ingrown hair alcohol spray meant for waxing.

    5. Apply unrefined shae butter to the skin to moisturize and protect the skin.

I shave in the evenings, so in the mornings I repeat steps 1 and 5. I used to throw step 4 in too, but it didn’t help enough to justify the cost of twice a day.

The important thing to remember about foil shavers is that your hair and skin have to adapt to them, so things might be uncomfortable for the first few weeks. But if you do it every day and your skin gets used to it, the whole process takes less time than shaving my face does.

I’ve also had good results with an epilator, but you need some serious pain tolerance, and you have to be careful your scrotum doesn’t get caught in it. It’s happened a few times to me, but it never caused any damage because the motor stalls as soon as it grabs it.

My advice, is go to an hair removal place. Pay extra to take care of yourself, because avoiding those cuts early is worth it.

Unless you have a friend who doesn’t mind getting up close and personal with your boys.

Get waxed, I’ve been doing it for a couple years now, worth it.

Hurts a bit when they pull it off, but not nearly as bad as you imagine, and it only hurts for an instant, not like it’s a pain that’s gonna linger around with you.

Smoother and longer-lasting than you could ever hope to manage with a razor, and no risk of cutting yourself

Depending on your skin, maybe you could have some issues with ingrown hairs, but I’m pretty sure if you’re prone to that you’re probably gonna have those issues shaving too.

My only complaint is the price, the place I’ve been going charges about $75 (+tip) for their “basic” service, which is just shaft and sack. I’m personally a really hairy dude and I feel like it would look weird for me to go beyond that and have bald patches on my crotch and ass crack, and I’m certainly not gonna spend the time and money for a full body waxing.

The full, most premium package to get all of you junk and butt waxed with all the extra goes up to something like $150 (+tip), and there’s a few options in-between so that you have a sense of the price range.

Which I do think is a pretty fair price for the service, but it’s also certainly not cheap. Personally I kind of justify it because I’ve known people who spend that much or more or haircuts about as often as I get it done, and i shave my head myself with a safety razor, so my haircut expenses are basically 0, so just kind of trading one grooming expense for another.

I usually go about a month and a half between waxings, first week or two there’s no noticeable hair regrowth, and by the 6th week I usually have about the required ¼ inch or so for waxing. Takes about a half hour for what I get done.

In some places it can be hard to find places that do it for dudes, and not all employees are trained or willing to do male waxing, so don’t ruin it for the rest of us, wash your ass and junk and don’t be a creep.

This is something I wish I could do since the tactile results are so much better.

Sadly as a person with sensitive skin and also the dreaded ingrown hair issue I can confidently that if you are like me this is an awful idea.

Shaving will normally not give you ingrown hairs so long as you shave WITH the grain.

I only have myself as a sample size so I don’t know how reliable this info is but if you’re unsure of you get ingrowns try shaving your normal areas against the grain and see if you get any. I have shaved my face and even head once before and it didn’t seem to matter where I did it the issue was persistent.

Yeah, personally I can probably just about dry shave against the grain with a piece of broken glass and splash on some acetone as aftershave and be none the worse for it, not too much in this world irritates my skin.

I figured it was worth mentioning it because I know it’s a concern for some people, but I’ve never had an issue with it personally with shaving or waxing.

Def something I’ve considered, but the cost isn’t ideal, and I feel like the pain would be otherworldly…

The pain really isn’t that bad

And at least for me, the worst parts of it are more on my sort of FUPA area, not so much on my dick and balls themselves, so for the service I get, it’s only like 3 patches around the edges that actually hurt. Might suck more if you’re planning to get more than that done, but I can’t really comment on that myself.

And again. It’s only for an instant with each rip and then it’s over, by the time you’ve flinched it’s already stopped hurting.
