My dentist texted me to say my appointment tomorrow is canceled and I need to call to reschedule.
Took me calling 9 times to get a human. Because if it goes to hold music, it then just shunts you to their ‘ai’ that can “reschedule, make appointments, cancel appointments” but it FUCKING CAN’T
What it does instead is fuck up several times in a row before giving up and sending a note to the desk.
Which doesn’t get seen until like two days later.
So you hang up the second you hear the ‘ai’ assistant talk and call back until someone picks up during the ringing phase.
I’m sure this isn’t making the front desks job miserable, not at all! Blegh.
Waiting in a waiting room and saw a mom, dad, and three children. one was a fresh newborn, and the middle child a toddler, eldest about ten sat down and colored.
This three year old had the phone right in her face with baby shark playing, 45 mins of it. pacifier hanging out her mouth, and sucked into the screen. She cry screamed when mom took the phne from her to use it for a minute.
Littles dont need screens like this, its damaging to their growth,. This was a childrens mental health waiting room, tons of space and things put out for kids specifically.
I just wanted to read my book while I waited for my son. Instead all I could think about was how lazy that parenting is. Why have kids if youre just gonna pop a pacifier in its mouth and shove content in their face. I wanted to congratulate mom on the newborn, fresh babies are wild to see, but she and her husband were sucked into husbands phone too. She called to him at one point too, point blank called to him and said, “hey baby daddy”, which was so wierd.
I work from home on Monday and Friday, and we have two elderly dogs that have bladder control issues that sleep in kennels. The unspoken rule is the first one up lets them out, and the last to bed puts them up.
My wife leaves around 7:30, and I assumed she let them out before she left.
I worked from bed until 9, when I discovered that she had not actually let them out.
My dog has diarrhea rn and has shit on the carpet twice without ringing her potty bell.
Tailgaters. Rich kids in their daddie’s cars, not knowing how to drive responsibly or even properly.
I wanted to have more sausages in my lentil stew but we don’t have any sausages at the moment. So I had to accept the amount of sausages that were already in the can.
Loud kids
Get it?
I had an Object Oriented Programing exam today
School computers which always worked fine, decided to not work for some reason. I changed my seat 5 times until I found one which actually connected to Ethernet.
And even then, due to the professor’s shitty server it took me 15 minutes to log in. It is a residential IP from a shitty internet provider, meaning the server probably resides in his house.
Moodle’s exam timer starts after you login so it wasn’t that much of a problem, but still frustrating as hell.
I was making a table and put some wood glue between joints and clamped them down. One of the clamps I have ended up being slightly too short and couldn’t be used.
I had to run to the store and buy some new clamps and by the time I got through the mess and traffic, the glue had already mostly set up, and now one of the table legs is just slightly off. Not enough to be noticeable unless you’re looking for it, but I know of it, and that’s enough to annoy me.
People can’t drive in parking lots anymore. Or stay in lanes while turning in general.
Everytime I go shopping I feel like I’m going to get into an accident because nobody can stay in their lane, nor do they know how to turn their wheel.
I don’t get it.
I have to go to work today.
Birches, man. Loaded up on histamines, still sneezing.
Well that’s because you’re supposed to be taking antihistamines.
Oops.
Dropped a bottle of googone which broke. 😬
At least the spot it dropped is now goo free.
the bus schedules were on holiday service, so it took ages to get home. and it was cold and wet.
It’s really ironic that public transit service is reduced on holidays when more people are likely to need it. It’s especially grievous for people that still have to get to work… it speaks a lot to how many city councils treat public transit, as if it wasn’t one of the few things that keeps a city going.
There may be an increase in irregular riders, but the regular ridership is down by a lot. Many people choose to stay home for the holidays or stay in their neighborhoods.
Neighbors parked in front of my house where I usually park.
